"Brave and True, Always Such has Anson Been," at the Wesley United Methodist Church, Wesley NY (South of Gowanda)- Saturday, March 22, 2014

We performed for a memorial service for Private Anson Park, a soldier in the 154th New York Volunteer Infantry back in the Civil War.  The 19 year old Park died in a hospital, 150 years ago that weekend. The songs that we performed came from poems from the Park family. One was written by Anson's cousin, Andrew Park, and the other was written about Anson on the occasion of his death. We have set both of the poems to period melodies and debuted the songs as part of the memorial service this day. The service was held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Wesley, NY, south of Gowanda. The cemetery where Anson is buried is nearby.

Seeing Seamus Kennedy at the Shannon- February 28, 2014

Soon after we got copies of our new CD in hand, Seamus Kennedy played at the Shannon Pub.  We went to thank him for letting us record, "My Father Was a Miner," and present him with copies of the CD.

Thanks again, Seamus.

Great Guinness Toast- February 21, 2014, at the Buffalo Irish Center

Our set came right after the official toast at 11:00.  It was a sweet spot to play, right in the pub.  Unfortunately, Scott was sitting because he injured his knee recently.
